El-Alamein Tour from Alexandria port

Relish an over day trip to El Alamein, approximately 110 Km away from Alexandria. Proceed to World War II remains and cemeteries,( WW II Cemetery). El Alamein Battle was one of the most significant confrontations of this War. Your first stop during the shore excursion from Alexandria will be at the Military Museum including displays of weapons, military garb and tanks. Descriptions of the actions of Montgomery, Rommel and the others participated in the battle are also on display. Lunch break then continue to visit the WW II Cemeteries, located on the west of the town, on a small peninsula overlooking the sea. The citadel like cemeteries is the final resting place for Common wealth, Greek, Italian and German soldiers. Drive back to Alexandria to board your ship.

Alexandria Sightseeing

We pick you up at 7:30 am from your hotel in Cairo, then you will travel about 3 hours to Alexandria which is the Shining pearl of the Mediterranean Sea known as "The Pearl of the Mediterranean". It is the most important City in Egypt after Cairo ( called the second capital ) and one of the most summer resort in the Middle East. First visit Pompay's Pillar, It was constructed in honor of the Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th centaury.

Originally from the temple of the Serapis, it was once a magnificent structure rivaling the Soma and the Caesareum.

Then proceed to Quitbay Citadel which was built on the site of the ancient pharos ( light house of Alexandria ), have your lunch in a local restaurant.

Visit the Catacombs which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock . Transfer back to your hotel.
